Stretford Band Needs You!!
Description✓Looking for a new interest or activity? Recently retired with time on your hands? Previously played a brass instrument and looking to return to playing? Stretford Band may be just what you have been looking for!
✓Stretford Band is a community based typically British brass band that welcomes adults from 18 to ancient
✓We play a wide variety of musical styles from marches to musicals, pop to classical
✓The band does not compete so enjoys a friendly relaxed atmosphere for players of different abilities who want to play to a good standard whilst meeting new friends and playing purely for pleasure
✓Stretford Band has been in existence since the 1840s and performs concerts mainly around Greater Manchester and occasionally further afield
✓Rehearsals are on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings 8-10pm in the Church rooms of Sevenways Methodist Church, Stretford [the band is not related to the Church].
✓We welcome people from all backgrounds some of whom have played since childhood, others who have taken brass up as a retirement hobby
✓It really is well worth giving it a go
✓No auditions!
