The Chihuahua is a little dog with a terrier-like attitude and a weight of no more than 6 pounds. The rounded "apple" head is a distinguishing feature of the breed. The full, brilliant eyes and upright ears are keenly expressive. Coats are available in a variety of colours and patterns, and they can be long or short. Except for the coat, the varieties are similar. Chihuahuas have a big-dog attitude, loyalty, and charm. Even tiny canines require training, and if you don't provide it, this cunning rascal will control your home like a mini Napoleon. Chihuahuas are good city pets since they are little and confident. They're too small for roughhousing with children, and cold weather requires extra caution, but Chihuahuas are adaptive.
