DescriptionPremier Houseboats are pleased to present Tantalus, a characterful conversion of an ex coal barge, that has been fitted to create a good sized family home with both a traditional and contemporary feel
Tantalus has been converted to create good living space internally and also has two good sized outside areas.
Tantalus has had great thought put into her conversion, and has an incredible amount of storage throughout
Entering through the front door there is an office area immediately to your left, that enables you to look down over the main living area
A small set of steps lead down to the main living area, which is a superb size with a large settee and a multi fuel stove, together with plenty of light, and even a giant clock on the ceiling
A step leads up to a sectioned off dining area
Along the corridor is a family bathroom with new toilet, hand basin, double shower cubicle and a small room with radiator for drying clothes
Next is the first bedroom, currently with two built in beds but would easily be a comfortable double.
Next along is the kitchen, with plenty of storage and work surface, built in double oven, gas hob and extractor, fridge freezer, washing machine and a breakfast bar.
Along from this is the main bedroom, with built in double bed with storage below, and built in wardrobes
A door leads to outside where there is a small deck area, with steps leading to a larger decked terrace on the roof of the boat, offering commanding views and furnished with table and chairs.
There is excellent headroom throughout the boat, which also has solid wood flooring, and all windows are double glazed units
There is also full gas central heating run from a gas combi boiler in the kitchen
The swim ends either end of the boat provide even more storage if required
The roof has a slight slope allowing any rain water to run easily off the boat and into the river.
Tantalus is ready to move into and is a lovely family home, with superb room both internally and externally, and a good balance of classic and contemporary fittings.

Character Houseboat - Fireflair

Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Fireflair, a beautifully decorated static houseboat, offering character, space and economical living. Fireflair was originally commissioned by the war office, and has also seen active service as a fire boat on the Thames before being tastefully converted to a houseboat. The upstairs accommodation is split into two parts. The beautifully decorated lounge has space as well as a warm homely feel, with classic wooden panelled walls giving a traditional feel to the room. The many windows allow plenty of light. Next to this the owners have created a comfortable office area which can be separated from the main saloon when needed. Glass doors lead to a fitted kitchen/dining area, with plenty of work top and storage space. Again there are plenty of windows allowing lots of natural light and giving a light and airy feel. This kitchen comes with fridge, freezer and oven, and also has a log burner and space for a dining table.. A panelled stairway from this room leads to the downstairs accommodation. A door leads through to a large double bedroom, again beautifully fitted out with wooden panelling and plenty of built in storage. There are opening portholes on both sides, that not only provide light and airflow, but also act as an authentic reminder of the boats character and history. A door leads from this bedroom to another double bedroom also beautifully fitted out and with built in storage . A door leads from this room to a large storage area. A second door from the stairway leads to the family bathroom, extremely well fitted out in a U shape with the bath placed in the centre. The bathroom also has a toilet and hand basin, and a doorway leads from the bathroom to a utility room, that could also easily be a third bedroom. This area houses the washer and dryer. The boat is fully centrally heated using kerosene, and is extremely well insulated throughout, making it very economical to heat. All windows and doors are upvc double glazed units. The boat has comfortable deck space at both ends, and has been well maintained by the current owners, regularly dry docked to be painted and have anodes replaced when needed. This was last done in 2018. This is a lovely example of a well maintained and comfortable family home, at a very competitive price. Fire flair enjoys good accommodation which offers comfortable living, whilst retaining her character. Vessel name: Fireflair Condition: good Builder: Hugh Mclean & sons ltd Constructed: 1955 Berths: 6 Cabins: 3 Length over all: 64' Beam: 16' Maximum draft: 4' Hull material: Steel Hull type: Modified Vee Fuel capacity: 100 Gallons Water capacity: 40 Gallons Disclaimer Premier Houseboats offers the details of this advert in good faith as it was presented by the seller or his representative but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the described item within this advert. Static ex Trawler to Complete - Sula

Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Sula, a converted small trawler in need of finishing but offering a nice living area and structurally very sound. Sula has been, and still is, out of the water where the hull has been worked on and then painted, so is in excellent condition. The main structure has been fitted with all new double glazed units, the cladding has been 3/4 completed with the outstanding cladding ready to be fitted. Internally Sula has been fitted out in a mixture of contemporary and classic styles. There is a built in double berth with storage underneath, and a main living area with further storage, a small galley area, and saloon. Steps lead down to a front area currently used as storage, but with some work could become a good sized wetroom/toilet. Sula needs a form of heating and hot water provision, a cooker and a bathroom to be fully useable as a houseboat. A gas combi boiler could be fitted to provide this, with the storage space mentioned earlier ideal to create a wet room. There is a small amount of external space, and Sula's size means that ongoing costs such as mooring fees, heating etc are going to be very economical. A charming small houseboat with potential for improvement, a secure residential mooring and a very sound and well maintained hull, Sula could be a lovely home.
