DescriptionPremier Houseboats are pleased to present The Sovereign, originally built as a Rhine Cruiser, that has also been a Thames ferry and a floating hotel, and now ready to be refurbished to create a spacious family home
The Sovereign offers incredibly spacious accommodation over 3 levels
It could be converted to a houseboat for one family, it could be refurbished and used as a business, or because of its size it could have a self contained facility for rental and still be a sizeable houseboat for a family
There are currently 3 large reception rooms, 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms/en-suites, which can be changed about depending on your requirements
there is a good amount of windows on all levels so the accommodation is light, and there is also good headroom throughout
Externally there is a good amount of useable space with which to enjoy your surroundings, especially on the top deck where there is also a wheelhouse
The Sovereign has had her price dropped considerably, from £350,000 just two years ago to the price advertised now
The owners have taken into account the need for internal refurbishment, and possibly some work on the hull, when doing so
Because of this The Sovereign offers huge potential as either a full time home or business, at an incredible price

Distinctive Houseboat Conversion - Sandbas

Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Sandbas, a beautiful ship in the final stages of conversion to create a stunning family home. Originally built as a German steam tug in 1892, Sandbas had also worked as a Norwegian cargo ship and sand carrier before coming to the UK in the mid 1960's. Sandbas has been converted in a way that gives her the look of a working ship externally, whilst internally creating a nicely flowing family home. Work is currently being done with Sandbas ready for viewing by the beginning of June 2022. There is also the opportunity to view now and have some input into the level and style of finish you require. Internally, Sandbas offers accommodation over two levels. Entering at the back of the boat into the wheelhouse, this light and airy space could be a perfect day lounge, with lovely views around the boatyard At the back a steep set of steps lead to what used to be crew quarters, which could be a comfortable third double bedroom with room for an en suite as well. Steps lead down to the main living area, again light and airy with excellent headroom. This main living area has a good sized galley with ample storage and work surface, free standing LPG oven and kitchen sink. The lounge area is a good size, with plenty of room for a nice 3/4 piece suite. A set of stairs lead up to the deck area, underneath these stairs is room for an office area. Back from the main living area is a double bedroom positioned under the wheelhouse, again a good size with plenty of room for storage. Forward of the main living area a corridor leads to the modern wet room, with shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin, and another good sized double bedroom. Externally there is an excellent amount of deck space on two levels, and the entire exterior is safe and easy to walk around. Sandbas comes on a secure residential mooring in a small, family run marina, and offers very affordable family housing, with the opportunity to really put your own ideas into how she is finished, the result will be a spacious and characterful family home. Vessel name: Sandbas Condition: good Constructed: 1892 Refitted: 2021 Berths: 6 Cabins: 3 Heads: 1 Length over all: 86' Beam: 17' Maximum draft: 6' Hull material: Steel Hull type: Other Disclaimer Premier Houseboats offers the details of this advert in good faith as it was presented by the seller or his representative but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the described item within this advert. Amazing Venue with Houseboat Potential - Rochester Queen

Premier Houseboats are pleased to present the Rochester Queen, an ex event venue boat, that could be put back to being a venue with a relatively small amount of updating, or converted to create an amazing houseboat. This incredible opportunity now comes on a secure residential mooring. Rochester Queen offers incredible space over three levels, the top two levels have an incredible amount of light due to the many windows, and there is also excellent headroom on all three levels. There are three bars, and an industrial kitchen capable of catering for the large gatherings The Rochester Queen was used to hosting. There is a heating system in place however a new boiler will be needed. Externally there are three outside deck areas where you can enjoy your surroundings in comfort wherever you are moored. The Rochester Queen is an impressive looking vessel. Although no longer able to cruise, as a static vessel on the right mooring she could be an excellent business opportunity. Converted to a houseboat she could be a stunning, spacious and unique property. Opportunities to purchase a historic vessel such as The Rochester Queen come up very rarely, and viewing to appreciate the space available, whether as a houseboat or as a venue, is recommended. She is on the historic ships register, below is a brief history : In 1935, a formidable competitor to Royal Lady arrived in the form of the Coronia [1], built by Warren's New Holland Shipyard on the Humber Estuary. Although of similar layout to the 1934 Royal Lady, she only had one funnel, which was positioned too far aft for symmetry. Coronia [1] was owned by Jack Ellis, and her original livery was a yacht-like white, later with a pale yellow funnel. She had a gross tonnage of 227 and an overall length of 130 ft, and carried 475 passengers on a Class 3 Certificate. Her engines were supplied by the National Gas & Oil Company of Ashton-under-Lyne, a company not normally associated with marine installations. She was capable of 13.5 knots, a lot faster than her initial competitor Royal Lady. In 1937, Coronia [1] reappeared with two funnels like her competitor. These were initially pale [yellow?] in colour, but later became red with a black top. In 1938 she had a more equal competitor in the New Royal Lady, which matched her is size and speed. However, in pre-war years there was more than enough custom for two such fine vessels. Historic Tug To Convert - TID172

Premier Houseboats are pleased to present TID172, an historic tug on a residential mooring ready to convert to a character home. TID 172 was one of 183 tugs built between 1943 and 1946 to replace tugs lost through enemy action in World war II, and also to assist the preparations for the invasion of France. TID 172 is now on a residential mooring in a small working boatyard on the river Medway, and with some thought and work can be a home of real character. The engines are still in place however she does not currently run due to issues with the boiler. There is plenty of room to work with to create a unique home, there is also the option of removing the engines to create more room and a freer flowing accommodation. There is currently a good sized forward cabin, a small deck level galley, and a small deck level shower and toilet. There is also a wheelhouse which could be extended to create further accommodation. There is further space available next to the engine room to create even more living area. Externally there is some good outside space to enjoy the surroundings. The tug itself was out of the water in 2018 and after survey it had some plating work done, and so the hull is still in good condition with excellent thicknesses. This is a great opportunity to create a wonderful character home. Vessel name:TID172 Condition: Good Constructed: 1946 Berths: 4 Cabins: 1 Heads: 1 No. of engines: 1 Length over all: 65' Beam: 17' Maximum draft: 8' Hull material: Steel Hull type: Displacement Keel type: Other Disclaimer Premier Houseboats offers the details of this advert in good faith as it was presented by the seller or his representative but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the described item within this advert.
