DescriptionPremier Houseboats are pleased to present Sandbas, a beautiful ship in the final stages of conversion to create a stunning family home
Originally built as a German steam tug in 1892, Sandbas had also worked as a Norwegian cargo ship and sand carrier before coming to the UK in the mid 1960's.
Sandbas has been converted in a way that gives her the look of a working ship externally, whilst internally creating a nicely flowing family home
Work is currently being done with Sandbas ready for viewing by the beginning of June 2022
There is also the opportunity to view now and have some input into the level and style of finish you require.
Internally, Sandbas offers accommodation over two levels
Entering at the back of the boat into the wheelhouse, this light and airy space could be a perfect day lounge, with lovely views around the boatyard At the back a steep set of steps lead to what used to be crew quarters, which could be a comfortable third double bedroom with room for an en suite as well.
Steps lead down to the main living area, again light and airy with excellent headroom
This main living area has a good sized galley with ample storage and work surface, free standing LPG oven and kitchen sink
The lounge area is a good size, with plenty of room for a nice 3/4 piece suite
A set of stairs lead up to the deck area, underneath these stairs is room for an office area.
Back from the main living area is a double bedroom positioned under the wheelhouse, again a good size with plenty of room for storage
Forward of the main living area a corridor leads to the modern wet room, with shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin, and another good sized double bedroom.
Externally there is an excellent amount of deck space on two levels, and the entire exterior is safe and easy to walk around.
Sandbas comes on a secure residential mooring in a small, family run marina, and offers very affordable family housing, with the opportunity to really put your own ideas into how she is finished, the result will be a spacious and characterful family home.
